Under 11 - Glenelg 4 lost to Goodwood 6

Under 13/2 - Glenelg def Southern Districts

Sundays game was against Southern Districts we started off well but our weakness this season has been we get off to a great start and then lose concentration and let the opposition back into the game. So after being infront at the bottom of the first, we struggle for the next 3 innings to get on base. Come to the fifth we were able to get a couple of hits and was able to be 2 runs down the top of the sixth. With Oliver doing an outstanding job we held them score less. Come into the last the young tigers ripped thru Southern Districts to take the win. Callum, Kai had some good hits while Darrin and Angus pitched well. Wren Zack and Harrison are improving in and off diamond and Cyrus at catcher keeps it up he'll soon be better than dad

Under 13/1- Glenelg vs West Torrens

Under 15 - Glenelg 0 lost to West Torrens 12

In the space of 7 days we saw the highs and the lows.

We had high expectations coming up against finals bound WT, but it ended up in disappointing fashion. The guys from lockleys jumped us in the 1st inning posting a 4 spot on the back of some aggressive base running and some not so great defence on our behalf. Josh Beckham battled his way in his 2nd straight start, but without much help from our field it was a very tall order.

I called on Max Stagg in relief to start the 3rd and he threw very well, limiting the hot eagles hitters to only 1 more run in his 5 innings of work.

Their starter over powered a lot of our guys and we didn’t seem to make too many in game adjustments. Our guys sticking with it eventually getting a hit and couple runners on base in the bottom of the last, but obviously the classic case of fair too little too late.

Hopefully there were lessons learnt during the game for both teams. Our guys definitely needed to take outs when they presented and make routine plays as required. The age old question about how to defend and attack in the many different circumstances the game presents raising its head again.

Two huge weeks left to finish the season, but will some focus on what we are doing during the week and taking that into game days we will look to make a significant improvement.

Under 17 - Glenelg 11 def East Torrens 1

Flynn and Adam as a  battery were outstanding ,Flynn delivered all Adam could call .it was a pleasure to coach as I could not fault any decisions that were made, well done to both

Defensively all  very good ,some good outfield catchers by Henry and Cooper .Cooper catch at right field a cracker, both are having good seasons

Riley hit well ,Adam smashed a drive to left centre ,henry hit ball hard a few times and Rion laid down the perfect bunt that broke the game open ,All team had very good times at bat by not swinging at bad pitches

All still going well please keep it up
