Under 15's - Glenelg 2 lost to East Torrens 14

Under 13's - Glenelg 4 lost to Adelaide 18

We came up against a well rounded adelaide team on the weekend. Our pitchers struggled to find a rhythm and we gave up runs in every inning. We tried hard with a few playing a good game. I think next time we play them it will be a different story as the team is improving each week.

With the events of the last week and the loss of a dear friend I've had a lot of time to reflect on the past and especially growing up as a kid at the G.B.C.  There was a big group of us that would watch div 1 and giants games. Endless summers spent With a great bunch of kids. A lot of these kids are still around the club 30+ years later. We have an unbreakable bond and have experienced life's ups and downs together. I sincerely hope that the kids today stick around this great place and go through life together too. School friends are great but my mates from the G.B.C. are really for life. Hegs I will miss you but am glad I had the privilege of spending those endless summers together.

Under 11 - Glenelg 9 def Goodwood 4

The Tigers played the Indians from Goodwood in our under 11 match on Sunday morning.  Louis pitched to Marcus to start the game and both kept working hard.  A couple of strikeouts before the Indians scored 4 runs had us batting in the bottom of the first.  Patience was the name of the game with walks to 8 in a row had the Tigers score 4.  It was good to see us only swinging at strikes.

Ari took over in the second innings struck out 3 out of 5 batters to give us another bat.  The bottom of the second saw Ari and Owen get a hit to left field to help us score 4.  Seth and Reuben had great contact to move Louis and Opal around the bases and Mason, Marcus and Senna kept patient in the box.

Ari and Owen combined to keep the Indians off the bases with three strikeouts in the top of the third inning.  Seth got a great hit into left field to score Ari and Reuben pushed Louis and Seth into scoring position before some good fielding by the Indians finished the game with a 9-4 scoreline.

Mason, Marcus, Senna and Opal showed great patience in the batting box this week and always looked ready to hit strikes.

4 games in and we have continued to improve every week which is great to see!
