Under 11's - Goodwood Apaches 8 def Glenelg 5

Under 13/2's - Glenelg 7 def Sturt 5

This week seen us up against undefeated Sturt, We knew they had strong pitchers, and our plan was to keep them pitching till they started tired and then take them on. Nic started off on the mound for 2 innings and with great catching by Sam after 2 the score was 4/0. We had the pleasure of having Georgia and Charlie play for us,as the 13/1 had a bye. Georgia took to the mound for the next 2 innings and kept up pitching strikes, at the top of 5th the score was still 4/0 down. On came Darium to the mound, we were able to hold them to 1 run. We then started to come alive with the bat, with hits to Charlie, Sam, Nic, Callum, Georgia and smart at bats from Cyrus, Zack, Renh, Harrison and Oliver who took a ripper for the team. And not to forget the catch from Harrison to finish off the last innings. We were able to come from behind to take the win 5/7. We are slowly working out that baseball takes great patience, and that we must concentrate until the last ball is dead. Great win for our team

Under 13/1's - BYE

Under 15's - Glenelg 14 def Woodville 3

A tale of two digs.

The final score line ended up a blow out, but it was 7-3 going into the last before the guys tacked on 7 more to pad the score line.

Josh Beckham got the start on the hill and did a fantastic job, striking out 8 in 4 innings and only gave up 1 run. Ryan Wurfel had a great day at the plate, hitting a 1st inning double to get us on the board. Owen Williams got 2 base hits and drove in 4 runs. Our training session during the week included some situational hitting, Mal Somerville grounding out with a runner on 3rd knocked in our 7th run.

Over all a pretty good performance, but we have a lot of work to do to improve enough to match it with the teams hoping to make a playoff surge in the new years.

Under 17's - Glenelg 12 def Gawler 1

Flynn was our starting pitcher and was untouchable a real good effort ,we then used Cooper  who David Mundy has been priming up .he also pitched quite well, we are always trying to produce pitching for now and future

Defensively very good this has been part of our overall game that has been letting us down ,but this week it was nearly perfect with some good outfield catches and an excellent double play via Blake and Adam

Bat were very good Adam and Henry the standout ,pleasing to see Lavo smashing a couple ,but all in the team hit well ,I real good effort by all ,well done

We are going along nicely keep up the good work
