Under 17's - Glenelg 8 def Adelaide 2

All played well ,Flynn was the standout with excellent pitching ,hitting and base running, a faultless game well done. Cooper had some very good times at bat and took a good catch running in ,he is one of the younger blokes in the team, I can rely on him each week. Henry also continuing to play well

Rion closed and had there measure on the mound, Darcy serviceable behind the dish

The signs  are good and now stringing wins together, still a bit to do defensibly

Please keep working hard

A max effort from Staggy.

The long trip and a late coach had us all over the shop to get things going in the first. Neither team troubling the scorers through one.

Max lead off the 2nd with a single and Ryan Wurfel followed this up with a knock into left and we jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Max coasting through the first 3, only allowing 1 hit striking out 4. Helped with a nice catch to Will McAuliffe with runners on to end a threat.

Will Holt hit the ball hard twice but without luck, but is getting better with each plate appearance. Jack Cvitan pinch hit and after a long stint on the sidelines with a broken arm he knocked up his first hit a line drive over short to drive in a run.

Josh Beckham closed out the game for us and on the back of 3 runs and a Kai Reid single we invoked the mercy rule and could start the trek home via the cheese cake shop.

Massive thanks to Jason Scott for helping get the guys going in my tardiness and well done to the guys for another all round good game.

Keep working men, without effort there is no reward.

We had an early start with a 9.00 at Golden Grove, Darien got ago at starting on the mound and did a great job.We did our best at bat and when we could hit we did. Base running was the best it's been, but we struggle with concentrating for the whole game and our fielding let us a down a bit. The team has the improvement in them and we are not far away, but this week is a big test against an undefeated Sturt.

Go tigers
