Under 17's - Glenelg 3 lost to West Torrens 7

Flynn started pitching  and was very good, he then  backed it up with some excellent hitting, a real leaders game.

We started the game very well and got out to a 3 run lead with good defence, excellent base running and good hitting .

Henry again played well and Blake's base running the stand outs. Others also gave good solid efforts.

We stopped concentration and allowed West Torrens  to get some momentum joined with errors hence the bad result.

All a WIP so keep working, it will come together.

Under 15's - Glenelg 4 lost to Henley & Grange 11

Facing one of the very good teams of the comp I gave the ball to Owen Williams in his first ever outing on the mound. After retiring 2 of the first 4 hitters, including a swinging K, Owen just couldn't find that next out, running a few hitters to a full count the pay off pitch just wasn't quite there. He did a super job though and showed he has a good temperament to get another crack at it again.

Ryan Wurfel came on and threw the next 3 innings only giving up 1 run in his first appearance from out behind the dish.

Will McAuliffe had a single and a couple of walks to along with that. Max Stagg got a base hit to left and drove in a run in our final innings, helping us plate 4 runs in the last.

Our defence on the day wasn't quite where we want it to be, letting a couple of balls drop in that need to be outs going forward. We will continue to strive to improve and get better with each outing, there are certainly signs that we are already doing this. Stick with it guys.

Under 13/1's - Glenelg 6 def Henley & Grange 3

Under 13/2's - Glenelg 16 def Indians 11

Sundays game was another challenge for our new team, we played the Indians who were above us in the ladder. Starting on the mound was Kai who showed great improvement allowing 3 runs in 2 innings. And also had some cracking hits. Nik pitched the next two innings which were out standing. We had plenty of hitters with Callum with cracker, Harrison, Sam, Darium,  Cyrus, Oliver and max among them. It's was great to see the patience showing at batting and hitting the right pitch. Coming into the last Angus took control on the mound, and keeps on improving, with help in the field from Ren we were 11/11 all to bat, and we kept with the bats making 5 runs to win 16/11

Under 11's - Glenelg 0 lost to Indians 2

The under 11s faced another of the Goodwood teams this week.  The team continues to improve and learn more about the game each week.  The highlight for the game was the pitching by our team.  Over 4 innings all 12 outs were struck out by our pitchers Liam, Kai and Lucas.

We were swinging at the right pitches in the batting box but were unlucky to score runs with base runners every inning.  Noah and Rhys made good contact with the ball and were unlucky to get hits. Alfie, Ben Smith and Blake showed patience in the batting box and Ollie had a nice hit.

We went down 0-2 in the end and look forward to another game next Sunday.
