Glenelg lost to West Torrens 3-2

We rolled out Flynn and again pitched well and within himself staying strong and in control of all his pitches ,he is looking a good shape. Will closed in good style

This was a very high standard game losing this game is not the end of the world for us ,we played very well it was always going to be tough having 3 of our players out having said that Henry ,Darcy and Blake all had excellent games, Henry with 3 hits ,Darcy 2 and Blake 1 .I couldn’t be more prouder with the way they helped out.

Fielding was good again Joe behind the dish as our leader outstanding, Henry solid, Darcy making a couple of tough plays ,Will Day again good.

All hit very well base hits everywhere probably Henry the standout .

As mentioned we played very well showed plenty of fight I came away from the game, with only good confident thoughts, as should all the players  it was the type of game we needed in preparation for the finals

Don’t change a thing boys full steam ahead.

Glenelg defeated Northern Districts 14-5

To keep our finals hopes alive the equation was simple, win this game. The 9am away game made it a little trickier as an 8am pregame wasn’t our best. We scored runs early through good patience at the plate and some timely hitting, a RBI double to Darcy Gluyas a great knock. Harry Leaker battled against a foreign mound and some light drizzle to get through 2 innings, without his best stuff only giving up a few runs was a quiet win in an otherwise forgettable performance from the guy who has carried much of our pitching load on the season. Haz knows he can improve on this moving forward.

Max Stagg came on in relief and did a good job recording a couple of punch outs along the way. Matt Laverty found out firsthand how cruel baseball can sometimes be, hitting his hardest line drive in a while only to be out on a nice catch from their centerfielder.

We had good at bats all through the line-up with guys taking walks when there, and a couple of guys coming off the bench putting nice ABs together in Josh Ayles and Owen Williams. In the end the score line was about right, as we controlled the game for the majority of innings.

With one game and a small sniff of finals still in the air we will get our work in at training this week and bring what we can into the final game of the regular season.

Glenelg defeated Sturt 4-0

Coming into Sunday's we only needed to draw to clinch the premiship. We took on 3 place Sturt at Flinders and knew it was going to be tough. Georgia started on the mound a had great game as well as Charlie. Nik also played well and was inches away from hitting his first home run. With great hit from Angus, Callum and Seb, and showing great poise at the plate from Ren, Sam, Zack and Cyrus, backed up in the field by Riley, we held Sturt run less and won the game 4/0. Which won us the u/11 south div. We play sth DIST in our last season game this week, with the following week we will play the winners of the north EST torrens, at home. We would love to see alot if tigers fans out this day to help us get the w.
