Exciting New FREE T-Ball Program for Term 4 at Glenelg!
We have some great news… Glenelg Baseball Club, in partnership with Glenelg Rebels Softball Club, is bringing the T-Ball program back in Term 4!
We're reaching out to schools in our local catchment zone to let them know about this fantastic opportunity for their students.
Not part of a school team? Please simply register individually (below) and we can find you a team to play in!
Why T-Ball?
Participation in organized sporting activities has reduced, particularly in junior participation. To encourage greater numbers in our sport, both the Glenelg Baseball Club and Glenelg Rebels Softball Club are partnering to re-establish a school-based T-Ball competition. This will be held in Terms 1 and 4 each year, allowing students to develop skills and experience T-Ball with their friends. This will help them understand both games, and they may wish to pursue this further with the clubs if they choose.
Competition Structure:
Location: Glenelg Baseball Club – 1 Anderson Avenue, Glenelg North
When: Terms 1 and 4
Games: Friday night from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Game Structure: 30 minutes of warm-up/skills development, 1 hour game time
Players: Reception to Year 3 (4-8 years old)
Cost: FREE
What our Clubs will provide:
Coaches (if required) and umpires
All equipment – gloves, balls, tees, bats, and game equipment
What your Schools will need to provide:
We seek schools' assistance in promoting this T-Ball competition among their students to encourage them to sign up. We would like to see students wearing their school PE uniforms as well when they come to participate.
Registrations?
We will ask that each school communicates directly with me on the interest and team(s) registering.
